Wow! It’s hard to believe that it has almost been a month since I last wrote something on here – and that I only have 3 months left to go. A crazy month it has been! I have been busy gathering the needed equipment, clothing, textbooks and paperwork for this new phase of my life. Right now I am waiting for approval of my application with The Great Commission Foundation. They are a organization which will provide a convenient way for supporters to process donations. I have also written a letter to the pastor and moderator of my church and am waiting for their agreement to issue a letter which is needed for my visa applications. Almost all of my textbooks have arrived here – only two left to come in, and I am slowly purchasing the needed medical equipment as my budget allows.
On another topic, I returned on Monday from a weekend spent with family in Winnipeg. I had a fabulous time! It was great to see the cousins I hadn’t seen in a year and a half and meet the newest one, Rebeca. She was a real sweetie, I definitely could have used a few more hours cuddled up in the hammock in the backyard with her. The only one missing was my brother, and I was sad he wasn’t able to be there. That would have made the weekend even better. The whole weekend was a real treat and I was glad I was able to see my Braul cousins before I leave in August – well worth the early flight Monday morning to make it back in time for work!
