I have now traveled to the city of Edmonton more times in the last 3 weeks than I have in the last 5 years. In case you are beginning to think that this was actually a large number, it was really only twice. Hopefully, twice was enough. It is with great pleasure that I am able to say that all my travel documents SEEM to be in order. It’s amazing the authority that can be conveyed by the right signatures, a bit of sealing wax, and some pretty ribbons. So except for the packing, some shopping, the packing, a few more weeks of work, the packing, several appointments, and, oh, did I mention the packing? I am nearly ready to move half a world away. All the packing stems from the fact that not only do I need to pack a couple suitcases for my trip, but I also need to pack up my stuff from my basement suite for storage…bye bye favourite lamp, maybe I’ll see you again someday. Perhaps I also need to do an inventory so I don’t end up like a certain Uncle who may have asked things like “does anyone know who has that bookshelf I used to own?” But then again why would I really want to stop someone from enjoying something that I certainly don’t need at the moment?
