It always gives my heart a happy little jolt when I walk in the door or sit down at my desk in the morning and find a piece of mail or a package waiting for me. It is funny though, that in a time when getting a person from Canada to here takes only about a day, I have been a recipient of two packages containing Christmas cards in the last week! Not only do I get a happy surprise, but also a laugh when I read Christmas greetings and flip through the pages of a Christmas magazine. I also wonder where those packages have gone in their 4 month journey to reach me. But it is in the quiet, late at night, when I check a labouring patient and then sit down with a sweet cup of tea, which arrived in one package or another, that I am so awed and thankful for all the people who have chosen to pray for me, support me, and send me cards, pictures, and packages that brighten my day. So thanks again, I wouldn’t be here without all of you!
