The clouds were heavy and grey, and as we neared the airport the rain began to fall. Just a week after she arrived, the dear friend I had anticipated being a part of life here for the near future, was on her way back home. The decision to come, she felt, had not been the right one. With the sadness of seeing her go have come a lot of unexpected feelings of unsureness. For now I am staying put, but an abundance of prayer would be appreciated as I struggle with new decisions, future plans, and the desire to follow God and not my own wishes. As I slid back into a taxi after hugging her goodbye, my own tears joined those that the sky had left on my face.
